Management Structure

The governance of the Chair takes place through a light and flexible structure of decision-making and consensus-building, being constituted by three instances:

1. General Coordination (GC), by Prof. Dr. Gilvan Müller de Oliveira, of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, institution that has the central agreement with UNESCO,

2. Executive Committee (ExCom), consisting of 8 Coordinators plus the General Coordinator. The first management team (January 2018 – May 2020) consists of the following members:

3. Extended Board (EB), composed of all institutional coordinators of the Chair or representatives appointed by them, on the basis of one per institution. The entry of more institutions into the Chair will automatically expand the membership of the Extended Board. EB is currently constituted by the following members:
